A Level Results 2015

blogEntryTopper2015 results are exceptional yet again at Ysgol Bryn Elian.

Once again, we are delighted by the outstanding results achieved by our dedicated and hard working pupils and the continued positive trends over the past few years. All students gained qualifications with in excess of a third of pupils gaining at least 1 A* or equivalent. This stunning figure is matched by the number of pupils who gained 2 or more A levels at grades A*-C, through our academically rigorous curriculum. Yet again, all pupils, without exception, left with qualifications.

Exceptional results were again achieved in the demanding and academically challenging Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification, with its new grading system.
The school is proud of the fact that pupils were placed on the correct learning pathway enabling them to achieve these extremely strong results.

Performances at the highest level of excellence were gained by Danielle Booth, Lewis Edwards, Alice Hall, Emily Heath, Dara Hughes, Katie Faux, Catrin Prys-Owen, Ben Urquhart and Josh Wood.

The school is delighted that the vast majority of students have been able to take up a place at one of their universities of choice.

blogEntryTopperThe Headteacher, Mrs Eithne Hughes said: “Congratulations to all our students for their successes in these important examinations. Bryn Elian students have once again demonstrated that the school successfully provides both academic rigour alongside broader achievements, through an innovative curriculum which embraces academic, vocational and extra-curricular opportunities. Thanks go to all staff for their hard work and excellent teaching of the students. I wish all the students all the very best of luck for their continued studies.”

Mr Phil Capper, Chair of the school Board of Governors added his thanks to all staff for their hard work and hearty congratulations to all pupils on their phenomenal success on behalf of the Governing body.
